Feeling frazzled and in need of more balance and headspace in your life? Heard of mindfulness but not quite sure of what it is and how it can help you? Join Roz for this 6-week ‘Introduction to Mindfulness’ course to explore how mindfulness can impact your day-to-day life, improving your mental, physical and emotional health whilst reducing stress and anxiety.
Mindfulness is an ancient practice originating in the East but increasingly making its way into the western world as we struggle to keep up with the busy pace of life, balancing work, family, money, technology and however many other challenges.

Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are, what we’re doing, and paying attention to each moment with openness and curiosity. In this way, our focus is on acceptance of now, without distractions of the past or future. Through mindful awareness, space opens-up revealing more choices as to how to move towards a greater sense of well-being and fulfilment in your life.

This six-week course will introduce some basic mindfulness practices to guide and encourage you to live more mindfully. The techniques taught are easy to follow and practical including a focus on the breath; the senses; techniques to let go of negative thought patterns and guidance on how to create space for growth.

Who is the course for?
The course is for anyone and everyone wanting to gain more balance, presence and happiness in their life. It is most suitable for those new to mindfulness practices or those wishing to re-familiarise themselves with some key mindfulness techniques. This course will take place in a small, supportive group guided by Roz who has over 10 years experience of mindfulness practices as well as being a schoolteacher and a yoga teacher. We will end each class with a 15 minute tea, snacks and opportunity to share and discuss with each other, should you wish to do so.

The most important thing about our practice is the breath. We will start by learning to connect with the breath and how this affects our body and mind.

We will work with the different poses and the anatomy of each one. Breaking them down and modify to see how they will fit your body, making this your own practice.

We will learn how to flow with the breath and connect body and mind. We will also look at the 8 limbs of yoga and the 7 chakra energy centres. Giving you the foundations on which to build your yoga journey.

I have extensive experience in people development and am a Chartered member of the CIPD. I have a sensitive and interpersonal approach and love encouraging individuals to explore their innate capacity for self-healing and empowerment. Breathwork is the use of Breath awareness and Conscious Breathing to promote healing and growth in whatever area of your life would benefit. The three basic skills of awareness, relaxation and breathing have the ability to ground you to wake up to who you are, to let go of what does not serve you any longer and to take charge of your our life within a safe and secure space.
 
Although our lungs remove 70 percent of the toxins from inside our bodies, we have forgotten how to use our full lung capacity. We all have our own breathing patterns and many of us hold onto unnecessary tension within our respiratory muscles, restricting us from breathing deeply and fully. Each breath we take has its own unique rhythm and throughout the workshop you will experience the healing effects of a natural and full breath. You will be taught how to connect to this wonderful life-giving resource that can set you free!

Baby Massage with Sara Wood

One-to-One or One-to-Two Private Baby Reflexology Classes

Learn all the baby reflexology and massage techniques in two private classes for just you and your baby or for you, your friends and your babies.

  • Suitable for babies and toddlers 4 weeks and over

Baby Reflexology and Massage Classes
4 week course

 

Friday 13th, 20th, 27th March and 3rd April - 9.45 am to 10.45 am 

 

  • Suitable for babies 4 weeks to crawling

  • Learn massage and reflexology techniques for key concerns such as feeding, digestion and sleep

  • Taught by a qualified and experienced reflexologist

  • Enjoy a slice of homemade delicious cake and a chat!

What to Expect from Baby Reflexology and Massage Course

Over the course you will learn a massage sequence for the legs, tummy, chest, arms, face and back, a special colic routine and to confidently perform specific reflexology techniques to your baby’s feet.  

 

You will also learn what oils to use & how to create a suitable environment, follow your baby’s cues, and how to adapt the massage as your baby grows.

 

Classes are run over 4 weekly 1 hour sessions, each with a different theme that is key for baby’s development.   There is also time for discussion, and sharing each others experiences on topics such as sleeping and crying, and to enjoy a tea and some delicious homemade cake.


I know first-hand the benefits of baby reflexology and massage with two little ones myself, who regularly ask for it now as part of their bedtime routine. Soothing music and a blend of beautiful baby friendly essential oils have been specifically chosen for each class to enhance the therapeutic benefits.

 

Wild Nest provides a wonderful nurturing space for you both and an opportunity to enjoy this special time together.

All you need to bring is a small towel, a baby blanket and of course your baby!
