An evening of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.

Come and restore, refresh and revitalise

This class will use mantras to tune in and warm up,

and a kundalini set to connect and heal.

Kundalini Yoga activates the dormant energy and the base of the spine and channels it upwards through the chakras.

An energising but deeply relaxation class.

Open to all. No experience needed.

Yoga Nidra meaning little sleep (although you don’t actually sleep), is the most powerful way to switch off and restore ourselves in a
form of deep relaxation.
It is performed laying down on the back, snuggled in blanket if so desired, to be warm and comfortable.
Enjoy an evening of helping the mind & body let go of the old & stale in our lives, and thus granting us the vision to re-evaluate our true
essence & move forward.
We will begin with gentle body stretching and release, focusing on the Breath.
You will then be guided and supported into a deep state of relaxation, allowing the mind and body to switch off and recharge.
We will spend 15 minutes at the end of the session to reawaken fully, chat over a cup of tea, and perhaps share any experiences.

Increase your levels of happiness, through mindful connection to your thoughts, feelings, and actions.
During this workshop we explore the mind-body connection and how your thoughts either move you closer to happiness or unhappiness.

We explore the body through breath-work and pressure points, noticing where you feel tension and learning how to release it.
This practice teaches you how to identify ‘cognitive dissonance’ (a major cause of depression and anxiety) and will give clear and simple guidance on how to overcome it using mindfulness, movement and breath-work.
Guided meditation during the workshop will pose questions such as ‘Does what I think and feel on the inside match up with how I act on the outside?’ Through these contemplations you’ll understand yourself better, becoming clearer about how to increase your levels of happiness.

Yin is a slow, soothing and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body.
It also focuses on stretching and stimulating different acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine.

In Yin Yoga, we hold mostly passive poses for about two to five minutes to work into our connective tissues.

The more we work our fascial system and deep tissues, the less dense and tight our bodies become as we age. Movement and stretching hydrate fascia and literally help slow the ageing process.

Lengthening extremely tight tissues can be an uncomfortable practice, but using this time to focus on breathing is a large part of Yin Yoga and also one of the many Yin Yoga benefits.

Typically when we experience discomfort, our bodies naturally become tense and we use our fight-or-flight response. Yin Yoga teaches us to reroute the mind and slow the heart rate when we experience discomfort.
Eventually, your mind will remain relaxed throughout your entire practice and you will be able to release the tension and more easily stretch your connective tissues.

Join us for fika and talk all things Yoga!

What is Fika?

In Sweden, fika is making special time for friends and colleagues to share a cup of coffee or tea and a little something to eat. It cannot be experienced on you own, that would just be coffee and cake. Fika is a concept, a state of mind, an attitude and an important part of Swedish culture and needs to be shared with friends.

What is Yoga?
There is so much more to yoga than the asanas we do on the mat.
In the 8 limbs of yoga, we learn that the asanas are just one 8th of our practice, and in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, we look into the depths of our being.

We will talk poses, anatomy, pranayama - breath, meditation, patterns, the chakra system and so much more!

We are excited to share what we have learned so far, our stories, to hear yours (should you wish to share) and any question you may have.
