Service Description

In our October circle will celebrate Samhain. In ancient times, Samhain marked the end of the growing season and the entrance into the winter months. It was observed as a powerful turning point in the wheel of the year representing the cycle of life, death and rebirth. The time during which the trees shed their leaves, animals go into hibernation, and the days grow short and cold as we move into the winter months. Samhain is a celebration of the ending or death of a cycle, and entrance into the inwardly focused period of rest, and stillness that is winter. Samhain mark the entrance into the dark half of the year. Darkness represents the unknown, the void, the subconscious mind, the realm of intuition, and all we cannot logically see or comprehend. It is also a time when the veils between the realms of the living and the afterlife are said to be at it's thinnest. ******************************************** We drum, we journey, we laugh and we cry, we sing and we dance. We will begin our evening with a smudging ceremony and by opening sacred space. We welcome in the four directions, Mother Earth and Father Sky. We will be guided and supported by the power animals, the four direction and the sisters in the circle. Each month we will have a different theme and we will sing, drum and journey to the beat this theme. “Sisters holding hands - in this circle we are held - in this circle we are strong - in this circle we remember - in this circle we belong” Monthly Friday evening 7.30 - 9.00pm. Exchange £14 Includes tea and snacks UPCOMING CIRCLES: 23rd September 28th October 25th November
