THE RITES OF THE MUNAY KI
The Munay-Ki is your invitation to dream a New world into Being

The prophecies of the ancient Americas speak of a time of great transformation in the world - a time when it is necessary for a new type of human being to emerge. Someone who embodies wisdom, love and power to combat the fear-based states presiding on the Earth today; to become a steward of this planet and all that lives upon it - the Homo-luminous.

As these nine rites of the Munay Ki are downloaded into your energy field, they bring with them an ability to help transform you. Aided by your personal healing work, this allows you to come into alignment - what the Q’ero know as ayni: a living embodiment of the energetic qualities of Wisdom, Love and Service that represent being in right relationship with all of creation.

According to this tradition, there are three power centres held within the body:

Yanchay — the power of Wisdom, which resides in the 6th chakra.

Munay — the power of Love, which resides in the heart.

Yan’kay — the power of Service, which resides in the belly.

These powerful initiations from the Inca tradition are transmitted from person to person.

These codes heal our wounds, change our DNA and energetic structure, much like new seeds planted in fertile soil. Love and power working together release us from our past selves and bring forth who we can become — the best of what it means to be a human being.

A sense of belonging. A sense of purpose. And the ability to make a difference whilst living in right relationship.

What does Munay Ki mean?

Munay-Ki comes from a Quechuan word meaning Love. Though this is not the kind of love that we are perhaps more familiar with. Rather than being an emotion, the Munay form of Love is pure energy.

It is the Love that Pachamama, Mother Earth, has for us.

It is the Love that Tayta Inti, Father Sun, shines down upon us as sunlight.

Munay is Unconditional Love.

The word ‘Ki’, though not Quechuan, represents the power of these rites to heal and help you achieve greater harmony.

THE NINE RITES OF INITIATION

THE FOUNDATION RITES

Rite One: Healer’s Rite

This rite connects you to a lineage of ancient healers and shamans from the past who come to assist you in your personal transformation, awakening your healing power so that everyone you touch is blessed.

There is tremendous spiritual assistance available, and these luminous ones work with us in meditation and also during sleep, helping to heal the wounds of the past and those of our ancestors.

This rite opens the pathways to healing, organising, aligning and informing your energetic support system. It also awakens the natural healing power within your hands.

Rite Two: The Bands of Power

Five luminous energy belts are woven into the luminous energy field (LEF) for protection. They act as filters, breaking down any negative energy that comes towards you into one of the five elements - earth, water, fire, air and ether (pure light) - and subsequently feeding your LEF rather than allowing these energies to make you sick.

This rite powerfully strengthens and empowers your luminous energy field, bringing you an even greater capacity to engage with the power of transformation.

These bands are incredibly protective and nurturing. Always “on”, negative energies bounce right off them.

In a world where fear currently predominates, they provide essential protection. They can be shared with anyone and everyone and are especially useful if you work with lots of people, whether in your environment or as a therapist or care worker. They are particularly useful for those who are empathic or highly sensitive to energies.

Rite Three: Harmony Rite

A transmission of seven archetypal energies of the Andean Medicine Way into the chakras as energetic seeds that metabolise trauma and heavier energy.

First, you receive the archetypes of Serpent, Jaguar, Hummingbird and Eagle/Condor. Next, you receive three archangels: Huascar, the Keeper of the Lower World (our unconscious); Quetzalcoatl, the Feathered Serpent and Keeper of the Middle World (our waking world); and Pachakuti, the Protector of the Upper World (our super-conscious) and Keeper of the Time to Come.

This rite connects you with powerful archetypal allies who can assist you in coming into right relationship in every aspect of your life.

These allies support and encourage the cleansing and clearing, opening and empowering of each of your seven chakras, so that you may acquire a rainbow body.

This rite balances and harmonises your energetic structure and the exchanges you make in the world. The energetic seeds are germinated with fire in our fire ceremonies.

These rites connect you even more deeply to the Animal Kingdom and are particularly useful on a shamanic path.

Rite Four: Seer’s Rite

Extra-cerebral pathways of light are installed, connecting the visual cortex with the third eye and heart chakra.

This awakens the inner seer and your ability to perceive the invisible world of energy and Spirit through the eyes of the Heart.

It clears and opens your capacity to shift the perceptions and projections you are constantly engaging with.

These rites support clarity within the dream state, allowing a better comprehension of messages received during dreams, journeys and meditations.

THE LINEAGE RITES

Rite Five: Daykeeper’s Rite

This rite connects you to a lineage of Master Healers from the past - midwives, herbalists and curanderas (shamans and healers).

Daykeepers are able to call on the ancient altars to bring healing and balance to Mother Earth, as well as calling on the sun to rise each day and to bring humans into harmony with the Earth.

They were masters of the ancient altars in sacred places around the world, such as Machu Picchu and Stonehenge.

After this rite, you may feel more connected to ancient sites and to working with the Divine Feminine energy. It assists you in reconnecting with the feminine principles of creation and helps you to heal your own inner feminine, including your relationships with women, so that you may step beyond fear and practise peace.

Rite Six: Wisdomkeeper’s Rite

This rite connects you to a lineage of luminous beings from the past and the future, asking to encode their wisdom and knowledge within you.

It supports you in healing your inner masculine and your relationship with the masculine in your life, stepping outside of time, becoming steeped in the medicine teachings and tasting infinity.

This rite is associated with the snow-capped mountains (Apus), revered places of power - perhaps a distant memory of our ancestors from the Himalayas and other sacred mountains such as Mount Fuji, Mount Olympus, Mount Shasta and Mount Sinai.

It connects you to sacred high places and to the energy of the Divine Masculine.

Rite Seven: Earthkeeper’s Rite

This rite connects you to the lineage of archangels and guardians of the galaxies and our solar system — stewards of all life on Earth.

Lifting you from your earth-bound existence, you embody the energy of the High Masters, Saints and Avatars.

The rite sets your spirit free so you can begin your journey to the Stars, beginning with the Sun, our local star, so you may dream your world into being.

You learn the way of the great seers and become planetary guardians and protectors.

This rite connects you deeply to our planet and makes you more aware of the impact we are having on our great Mother, and how we can help.

THE RITES OF THE TIME TO COME

Rite Eight: Starkeeper’s Rite

This rite safely anchors you to the new energy following the great change that took place around 2012.

It connects you to the energy of who you are becoming, and you also take on stewardship of the time to come for future generations.

As each of your energetic centres is informed by the highest state of your being, this rite enables your physical body to evolve into Homo-luminous. Your DNA is re-encoded, the ageing process is slowed down, and you become more resistant to disease and decay.

This rite also connects you deeply with the star beings.

Rite Nine: Creator Rite

This rite connects you with the Divine Source and awakens the Creator-light within you.

This is a very profound, sacred and powerful rite that can change the way you view the world and your life.

As it awakens the Creator-light within, this rite brings stewardship for all creation - from the smallest grain of sand to the largest cluster of galaxies.

Once you begin to understand the true nature of your being, this pure consciousness enables you to expand your capacity to co-create your life experience, and this stewardship becomes natural.

Once attained only through direct transmission from Spirit, it is now possible to transmit this rite from one person to another.

The Creator Rite was brought forth and gifted to us by Inca elders in the Andes during the summer of 2006.

A Journey of Transmission, Remembering and Awakening

The Munay Ki has been a deeply meaningful part of our own journeys, and it is with great respect, gratitude and humility that we now share these powerful rites with you.

Our journey with the Munay Ki has unfolded over many years through study, practice, ceremony and direct transmission. We received the rites through our four years of Medicine Wheel training with Chris Waters of Spirit of the Inca, from 2022–2025, and through direct teachings and transmissions from the Q’ero Shamans of the Peruvian Andes.

We have also had the privilege of receiving the rites from the Q’ero in different settings - in France and Romania, and during a two-week journey with them through the Peruvian Andes in 2024. Maria first received the rites from Sarah Gregg in 2021, while Roz has also received teachings from Alberto Villoldo online.

Both Sarah and Chris received the Munay Ki through their own teachings and relationship with Alberto Villoldo and the Q’ero Shamans, connecting our journey with the wider lineage through which these teachings have been carried and shared.

The Lineage We Honour

The Munay Ki is a living transmission - a sacred passing of teachings and energetic rites from person to person. We honour the lineage through which these teachings have reached us:

Q’ero Shamans of the Peruvian Andes

Alberto Villoldo

Chris Waters & Sarah Gregg

Maria & Roz

You

We offer these rites with gratitude to all those who have carried these teachings before us, and with deep respect for the Q’ero tradition and its living relationship with Spirit, Pachamama and the natural world.

It is from this place of experience, practice and respect that we offer the Munay Ki.

Over the course, we will guide you through the nine rites, creating a sacred and supportive space for you to receive each transmission, explore its teachings and begin to integrate the energy into your own life and practice.

We invite you to approach the Munay Ki not simply as something to receive, but as a journey of remembering - reconnecting with your own innate wisdom, love, power and capacity to live in ayni, right relationship with yourself, others and all of creation.

Most of the rites are given forehead to forehead.
