Laura
Classes at Wild Nest: Hot 26&2
As an ultramarathoner and triathlete, yoga is like a secret weapon for Laura - but one that she wants to share with others. Laura loves spreading the message about how powerful yoga is, not only for strengthening the body and calming the mind but for building endurance, focus and much needed mobility.
Laura also loves showing how our yoga practise can guide us in everyday life. She believes that we can learn something new about ourselves every time we practice, and we can carry those lessons with us off the mat too.
Laura’s yoga journey started many years ago and as her sporting pastimes increased, so did her yoga practice. When she realised how beneficial it was, she knew she wanted to do her teacher training.
Laura first trained in Hatha Vinyasa in Spain and opened a yoga studio in Barcelona. She then went on to gain qualifications in targeted mobility training, breathwork and Hot 26&2, and is now studying to gain her 300hr yoga qualification.
When Laura is not teaching or practising yoga, you'll usually find her trail running, hiking, cycling or swimming. She’s also a keen writer and has been known to pen a poem or two.
“There aren't many problems that a long run, some yoga and a good cup of tea can't solve, so dig out your running shoes, roll out your mat and put the kettle on. Your mind and body will thank you for it afterwards, even if there aren't any problems to solve!”
