The Hunters Full Moon

This Monday, we welcomed October’s Full Moon, traditionally known as the Hunter’s Moon — a time of reflection, release, and preparation as we gently transition into the darker months of the year.

The spiritual meaning of the Hunter’s Moon centres on focus, letting go, and creating space for what truly matters. As nature begins to slow down and the trees shed their leaves, we too are invited to pause, reflect, and consider what we are ready to release before winter arrives.

This Full Moon offers a beautiful opportunity to turn our attention inwards, reconnect with ourselves, and prepare for the quieter season ahead. It reminds us that we don’t need to carry everything with us.

You might feel drawn to prepare your home for the colder months, declutter a space that feels heavy, make time for self-care, or create a quiet moment or place for reflection or ritual. Perhaps it’s as simple as preparing nourishing soups to fill the freezer, lighting a candle, wrapping yourself in a warm blanket, or spending a few moments beneath the moonlight.

Whatever feels right for you, let this be a time to slow down and listen to what you need. There is no need to make grand changes or set ambitious intentions.

Sometimes, the most meaningful preparation begins with the smallest acts of self care.

As the Hunter’s Moon shines above us, may we embrace the changing seasons, release what no longer serves us, and make room for rest, warmth, and renewal.

How will you welcome the Hunter’s Full Moon this month? 🌕✨
